Tamara Hajieer’s collection takes the honeysuckle leaf of the sweet tasting native yellow Jasmine tree and deconstructs that leaf and takes the very simple form to articulate the part of the body they’re worn on, choosing the polished finish for all the pieces and choosing gold plating for them as her favorite choice although they’re sold in the three gold colors, white, rose and yellow. The leaf is used for medicine and the tree articulates the facades of the Tunisian and Libyan family homes in north Africa.
