THE ATELIER
Our lovely new Lavish Atelier, based in leafy Chiswick, is an intimate and inviting creative space that sits in the Barley Mow Centre, a key heritage building that has played a prominent role in local industry for many generations. The Barley Mow was the first of its kind in the UK: commercial premises where an eclectic mix of creative businesses — furniture designers, jewellers, violin craftsmen and architects — could work independently under one roof.
This historic spirit of craftsmanship and collaboration continues to inform the ethos of our Atelier. Far from the pace of conventional retail, our space offers a moment of pause. Within our walls, a slow, salon-style of shopping is encouraged: discovery is unhurried, conversations are meaningful and each piece is contextualised within a broader narrative of artistry, heritage and cross-cultural dialogue. Clients are invited to spend time with the collections, gaining insight into the makers’ stories and the values that define their work.
The Atelier serves as a physical extension of our philosophy of luxury as substance, where tactile experiences meet considered curation. It is a space for trunk shows, private appointments, cultural gatherings and design-led encounters that foreground the quiet power of independent brands whose work resonates across borders and traditions.
