ACH - The Rashrash Necklace Abaya

Created in collaboration with the Al-Ahsa Heritage and Archaeological Motifs Authority in 2021, this abaya was designed to celebrate the inscription of Al-Ahsa Gypsum Carving Art as a recognised traditional craft by UNESCO.

The design is inspired by the Rashrash Necklace, one of the most iconic pieces of jewellery worn by women in the Central and Eastern regions of Saudi Arabia.

Featuring intricate details drawn from the decorative gypsum carvings and architectural motifs of Al-Ahsa, the abaya reflects the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and the rich artistic heritage of the region.

The set includes the abaya, a burgundy dress, and a coordinating scarf.
