Turquoise Mountain Original Artisan Collections
 
Since ancient times, Afghan artisans have been sought after for their ability to precisely cut and inlay semi-precious stones. The Turquoise Mountain Original Artisan Collections pay homage to this historic jewellery-making tradition. Each piece is handcrafted using traditional techniques and vibrant local gemstones, and is inspired by the history and art of Afghanistan.
 
The Shabakari Collection is handmade by two women artisans in Kabul who use a traditional cutout technique to create unique contemporary jewellery pieces. 
 
The Gawhar Shad Collection takes its inspiration from the tilework on the mausoleum of one of Afghanistan’s most famous queens, Gawhar Shad. The pieces use lapis lazuli, turquoise and agate, echoing the bright tiles of the mausoleum.

In the Timur Collection, two master artisans from Kabul showcase their expertise and skill at stone setting, creating a range of unique and colourful pieces. 
 
The Malileh (meaning filigree) Collection draws inspiration from the Turkman jewellery tradition and combines traditional techniques with modern design. The Turkman Collection draws its inspiration from traditional Turkman silver jewellery. Each piece is entirely carved and crafted by hand in shining white brass.
